Areas of Interest

"Professionally, my areas of interest include working with children, primarily pre-teen and teens, who have experienced trauma, children who are struggling with anxiety and/or depression as well as assisting parents/families to work together as a unit. I strongly believe in the strength-based and systems perspectives and like to take a holistic approach to treating mental health concerns when possible. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions; however, I also pull from Solution-focused, Reality therapy, and Family Systems theories. I believe it is important to meet my clients where they are at, assist them with finding and recognizing their strengths, and helping them to use them to improve their daily functioning and relationships."
